Congratulations to our February Star of the Month, Cris R.! Cris is a third grader at Ellicott Elementary School in Ellicott, CO. According to his teacher, Ms. Matthew:
Cris has been striving to conquer this difficult task of reading for several years. When he first started, he was very resistant and didn't feel that he was capable. Through much practice, grit, and a newfound determination Cris has become an engaged and active reader. As a multilingual learner he has taken great pride in moving through levels of his Access testing. He works hard at reading and makes amazing growth. Having a kind and supportive nature, he always encourages his group to do their best and work hard.
