5497 Views

Presented April 23, 2024 by Michelle Brenner, Assistant Director of Curriculum for Read Naturally.

Read Naturally GATE+ supports reading achievement by combining the research-proven strategies of teacher modeling, repeated reading, and progress monitoring. This webinar introduces educators to Read Naturally GATE+, an interactive program that uses explicit, systematic instruction to teach phonemic awareness and phonics, develop fluency, master high frequency words, and provide support for vocabulary and comprehension. The carefully scripted lessons in GATE+ are appropriate for use with small groups or for whole class instruction. The presenter walks through the program steps to show how this direct instruction model improves students’ skills in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension.
