Congrats, Sofie!Our February Star of the Month is Sofie, a 7th grader at Augusta Middle School in Augusta, Wisconsin. Sofie started Read Naturally this past September and has already made significant progress that's reflected in her benchmark assessment scores. Here is what her teacher, Ms. Planert, shared with us:

"Sofie is in her first year using Read Naturally to address her fluency needs and began using the program in a small group this fall (September). Sofie's fall oral reading fluency benchmarking score (FastBridge) placed her in the 9th percentile nationally, while reading with 88% accuracy. Sofie has worked hard during her small group time each day and used the feedback provided by the program and her teacher without complaint. This week Sofie was given our winter benchmark for oral reading fluency. Her growth was absolutely outstanding--she went from the 9th percentile to the 31st percentile AND increased her accuracy to 96.5%! Sofie is beyond proud of what she has accomplished utilizing Read Naturally and feedback, paired with hard work and determination. Way to go, Sofie!"
