What's New in This Release

Read Live version 4.13.0 includes the Read Live Phonics and Word Analysis Assessment. This feature, which is available from the Teacher menu in both Read Naturally Live and Word Warm-ups Live, can be used for both placement and progress monitoring purposes.

Detailed Summary of changes in this release

• The Phonics and Word Analysis Assessment has been added to Read Naturally Live and Word Warm-ups Live.
  • This tool is available from the Teacher menu in either application. 
  • Two types of assessment include several short 5- or 6-item tests of a student's knowledge: 
    • Assess Letter Sounds Knowledge reviews a student's command of letter sounds. 
    • Assess Decoding Skills includes tests from vowel and consonant sounds through advanced multisyllabic words. Based on a their performance in this assessment, a student's assignments in Read Naturally Live and/or Word Warm-ups Live can be adjusted.
  • Support included with the new feature aids teachers in administering the assessments and describes the relevant Read Live curricula.
  • The Phonics/Word Analysis Assessment Report shows a student’s correct and incorrect responses, highlighting any gaps in phonics knowledge and showing progress over time. 
• This release also includes bug fixes.
