Developing readers need more than just books to build critical literacy skills. One Minute Reader Live transforms independent reading time into an exciting, guided reading experience. Utilizing the research-based Read Naturally Strategy in a fully independent and motivating system, One Minute Reader Live helps students develop fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills, and build confidence as learners.

Appropriate for a wide range of developing readers, One Minute Reader Live can be used as supplemental practice for students enrolled in a formal reading intervention program (like Read Naturally Live) or to add additional support, and fun, to traditional independent reading time. Even advanced younger readers can use the program to accelerate their progress.

We recently recorded a webinar that provides an overview and demonstration of One Minute Reader Live, the latest addition to Read Live. The presentation explains the appropriate educational settings, how One Minute Reader Live compares to Read Naturally Live, features and benefits of the program, and where to find additional information and resources.

One Minute Reader Live includes six levels: one for each reading level E through 5. Each level includes four books with five nonfiction stories organized around a specific theme. Students can choose any content within the program, but you may still want to recommend a specific level for each reader. There is an optional, built-in placement test within the application. This useful placement guide is also available for offline assessment.

Student training is important for a successful program implementation. A Student's Guide to One Minute Reader Live combines detailed training videos with hands-on activities covering all the steps of the program. Each video in the series demonstrates a different set of steps. After watching the student narrator demonstrate the process, students log into their first One Minute Reader Live story and complete the steps themselves.
