What's New in This Release

​Read Live version 3.0 includes updates to underlying web technologies in both the Student Module and the Staff Member Module. Some system requirements have been updated to reflect the changed technologies, as noted below.

This release also includes the following specific changes within Read Live:

• A new Read Live iPad app is available. The new app is necessary only for iPad users who have updated to iOS 15.4 or higher, who experienced problems with the Read Along step in Read Live applications. We recommend that the Read Live iPad app be removed and reinstalled for iPads with iOS 15.4 or higher. Other iPad users do not need to update their apps in order to continue working in Read Live.
   
• In Word Warm-ups Live: 
  • Teachers can now quickly check a student's words correct per minute goal for word lists in the Student Module's Level | Goal menu. 
  • Teachers can print Word Warm-ups exercises from the Staff Module's Word Warm-ups Live page. Printed exercises were previously available only in the Student Module.
  • The Story exercise for Level 1, Section A has been revised in response to teacher feedback. The new story is more appropriate to the reading ability of some students assigned to this level.
  • The scoring ranks assigned to student performance on word lists have been revised to encourage students at key moments in their work. 
     
• In Read Naturally Live–Español, teachers can now assign a fixed Read Along speed to any number of required Read Alongs. For example, a student can be assigned four Read Alongs, all of which are played at the Expressive speed.

System Requirements

Some of Read Live’s minimum software requirements have changed in this release, as follows: 

Browser Support:

• Google Chrome versions 75 and higher (recommended)
• Mozilla Firefox versions 67 and higher

iPad Support:

• Read Live's iPad app requires iOS 11 or later (supported on iPad [5th generation], iPad Air, iPad Mini 2, and newer)
