What's New in This Release
Read Live version 4.3 includes enhancements to multi-factor authentication (MFA) in Read Live's Staff Module as well as access to an enhanced Application Access page for staff members including Teachers.
Read Live's MFA feature can now be set to remember a user on one computer at a time. This change will limit the number of login codes required from most users.
The revised Application Access page allows Account Administrators, School Coordinators, and Teachers to assign and remove licenses, Lead Teachers, and Read Live applications en masse to groups of students. Account Administrators and School Coordinators see this revised page in place of the Student Licensing page. Users with the role Teacher access it from the Student Setup page using a button.
See detailed descriptions of the changes in this release below.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you see a blank page when opening Read Live after this release, you may need to clear your browser's cache.
Detailed Summary of changes
- This release refines multi-factor authentication (MFA) at login for the Read Live Staff Member Module:
- A "Remember me on this computer" checkbox has been added to the code dialog. Selecting this checkbox before entering a code limits the number of logins at which a code will be required on a single computer. Note that this checkbox should not be checked on computers used by students.
Please note: Even when the Remember this computer checkbox has been selected, updates to or changes between computers or browsers can periodically result in the need for a new login code. - Supporting information, including the email address to which each code has been sent, has been added to the MFA dialog.
- The Application Access page in the Staff Member Module allows mass assignment (and removal) of licenses, Lead Teachers, and Read Live applications.
- Account Administrators and School Coordinators open this page under their Student Administration tile.
- Teachers now have access to the revised page through a button on the Student Setup page.
- Note that teachers can only add or remove licenses, Lead Teachers, and applications for students who do not belong to another Lead Teacher. The list of students they see on this page is limited to those students.
- The 4.3 release also includes other bug fixes and performance improvements.
