Story options for One Minute Reader Live include:
- Read Alongs
- Practices
- Levels
To change the number of required read alongs:
- Open the Story Options page, either at the student's workstation or in the Staff Member Module.
- Click the dropdown menu under Read Along.
- Select a number from the list.
- Click Save or Save & Close.
Setting the required read alongs to zero does not disable the step. This setting allows the student to read along if desired, but they can click next to continue without completing a read along.
To change the number of required practices:
- Open the Story Options page, either at the student's workstation or in the Staff Member Module.
- Click the dropdown menu under Read Alone.
- Select a number from the list.
- Click Save or Save & Close.

To enable or disable Full Audio Directions for a student:
- Open the Story Options page, either at the student's workstation or in the Staff Member Module.
- Turn the Full Audio Directions toggle ON or OFF in the Teacher menu, or
Select or Deselect the Full Audio Directions checkbox in the Staff Member Module. - Click Save or Save & Close.
To change the levels available:
- Open the Story Options page, either at the student's workstation or in the Staff Member Module.
- Click a toggle near the desired levels to set them to either on or off.
- Click Save or Save & Close.
Notes about Levels in One Minute Reader Live:
- When a student completes all work in their selected levels, any disabled levels are enabled. Our goal is to keep students reading and not prevent any progress.
- You cannot disable levels for groups of students at a time. You must do it for one student at a time.
- A level cannot be turned off if it is the only incomplete level available to a student.
Default Settings
To restore defaults, click the Restore All Defaults button.
The default settings are:
- One required read along
- Two required practices
- All levels enabled.
